The Draper Public Library was abuzz with excitement on Saturday, December 14, 2024, as puzzlers gathered for a unique and thrilling event: our first-ever Puzzle Relay! This lively competition brought together 15 enthusiastic teams, all ready to test their speed and strategy in assembling not one, but two puzzles in relay-style races.
To break the ice, as the event started, we took a moment to introduce ourselves—sharing names and hometowns—and warmly welcomed those new to the world of speed puzzling. Once the introductions were complete, it was time to race! The tension and focus in the room were palpable as team members worked together, trading spots at the table every five minutes to tackle the two different puzzles. The excitement reached a fever pitch as the top two teams crossed the finish line just a single second apart!
To add to the fun, we held a raffle, with two lucky winners taking home the puzzle for the upcoming Winter Puzzle Speed Run. It was the perfect way to cap off an afternoon of friendly competition and community building.
Whether you were on the winning team, a lucky raffle winner, or just there for the fun of it, the Puzzle Relay was a resounding success. We can’t wait to see everyone at the next puzzling adventure!
