On Saturday, January 11, 2025, the Utah Jigsaw Puzzle Association hosted its highly anticipated launch party at the Ruth Vine Tyler Public Library in Midvale, Utah. The event was a resounding success, with a fantastic turnout from both long-time puzzle enthusiasts and many new faces eager to join the local puzzling community.
The event featured a variety of activities for all attendees. Two tables were dedicated to social puzzling, providing a relaxed atmosphere for guests to collaborate on puzzles and get to know one another. Four 100-piece puzzles were set aside for speed runs, which could be attempted at any point during the event, adding an element of friendly competition.
A “Name the Puzzle Brand” game challenged attendees’ puzzle knowledge, while a raffle drew excitement as three lucky winners took home puzzles from previous competitions. Additionally, a puzzle swap table encouraged guests to exchange puzzles and expand their collections.
The launch party successfully fostered connections among puzzlers in the community, and a wonderful time was had by all. The Utah Jigsaw Puzzle Association looks forward to hosting many more events in the future and continuing to grow the local puzzling scene.
