Announcing the Winners of the 2025 Fall Speed Run

We had a three-week speed run competition running from October 11 through October 31. The puzzle was a 210-piece puzzle by Boardwalk Puzzle Company called Happy Llama-ween. The artist of the puzzle is Andy C. Ellis.

Jolene Ogden had the fastest single competition time at 0:08:02. This is Jolene’s first time winning a UTJPA speed run competition. Congratulations Jolene! Makayla Malloy finished in second place with a time of 0:08:14 and Megan Chung finished in third place with a time of 0:08:56.

Jolene Ogden completed the puzzle the most times with 131. Megan Chung was second with 115 and Makayla Malloy was third with 110. For Jolene, that’s 27,510 pieces placed in those three weeks. Congratulations Jolene!

A new statistic we tracked for this competition is improvement: both percent and time. Makayla Malloy had the best percent improvement with 66.62%. Jolene Ogden was second with 66.15% and Erica Ferland was third with 65.98% For time improvement, Cathy Evans was first with an improvement of 0:42:30. Jenn Jones was second with 0:39:40 and Erica Ferland was third with 0:31:33.

Overall, there were 36 people that completed the puzzle at least one time for a grand total of 709 completions. That’s a total of 148,890 pieces placed during the competition. The average completion time was 0:17:41. The total amount of time spent completing the puzzle was 208 hours and 56 minutes. View the full results here.
