One of Jodi’s early memories is doing wooden puzzles on the floor of her grandmother’s kitchen. Jodi has always loved things that engage her brain. Highlights in the jigsaw puzzle world include puzzling with family in local competitions, making so many friends in the puzzle community, and going to nationals last year. She had a subscription to Games magazine in her teens and devours Dell crossword magazines whenever given the chance.
Jodi has an extensive jigsaw puzzle collection, second to her collection of board and card games and her collection of yarn and fiber arts tools (knitting needles, crochet hooks, and even a spinning wheel!) She also enjoys learning new arts, including Ukrainian egg decorating (pysanky), wood turning, Islamic art with a compass and straight edge and linoleum cut printmaking.
Jodi loves spending time with her family, especially in the outdoors. They go to Jackson Hole, Wyoming every year, and try to get outside as much as possible, where Jodi practices her new hobby of wildflower identification. Her family are avid whitewater rafters, campers and hikers.
Jodi is a high school teacher at a small non-profit school where she teaches just about every subject, including math, language arts, and science. She also has an extensive knowledge of musical theater and loves to go see Broadway shows whenever possible.
