Mission Statement
Our mission is to promote jigsaw puzzling throughout the state of Utah by connecting puzzle lovers together both virtually and in-person. We promote and support puzzle events and competitions across the entire state.
Leadership
Allen Greenwell, President
Allen has been puzzling his entire life. As a child he remembers putting together jigsaw puzzles during school breaks, often repeating the same puzzle since his family didn’t own many puzzles. Allen entered the speed puzzling community in 2022 after hearing about the world championship online. Since then he has competed in the Utah Jigsaw Puzzle Championship (2023 and 2024) and the National Jigsaw Puzzle Championship (2024). Allen really enjoys being a part of the local puzzle community and has hosted several events, both casual and competitive.
Lisa Peterson
Lisa has been puzzling for as long as she can remember. What she loves most is how it brings people together. Her personal journey with puzzles has helped her forge connections and build friendships she might not have found otherwise. Lisa is excited to help others discover that same sense of belonging and is passionate about creating a warm, welcoming community that fosters these connections. Whether you puzzle to unwind, cope, socialize, or as a solo endeavor – there’s truly something for everyone. And Lisa is eager to share that joy and make room for every piece of this growing community.
Kyle Kossin
Kyle discovered speedpuzzling in the summer of 2022, just in time to register for the first National Championship later that year. Since then, he has won the Utah State Championship, established himself as the fastest male puzzler in the USA, and competed twice in the World Championship, where his teams placed 5th and 12th in the world in 2023 and 2024 respectively. Kyle continues to be an avid racer online and in person. He streams most of his training on Twitch at twitch.tv/kylko, where he challenges his personal bests, shares tips, and talks about all things speedpuzzling.
Adam Wills
As a lifelong puzzle enthusiast, Adam Wills joined the board of the Utah Jigsaw Puzzle Association to share the joy of jigsaw puzzles with the community. Driven by a vision to see the association grow statewide, he hopes to make it a one-stop resource for everything related to jigsaw puzzles. Known for his willingness to jump in wherever needed, Adam brings both dedication and passion to the board. He appreciates the welcoming spirit of Utah’s puzzle community and the unique flexibility puzzles offer—enjoyable both solo and as a shared experience.
